Yes Georgia! Shut out the bad influences that feed your depression! You can stand up for yourself and slowly take a step toward making life better. (Now to go take my own advice…)
Book; I agree with the idea which I have put into practice in dealing with certain family members. Do NOT think that I don’t give a damn about them but the depression I experienced was largely due to their input (interference, if you will) with the normalcy I was trying to build in my life.
Not to say it’s not still somewhat depressing & there is still some heartache involved but the cold truth is that as I’ve kept these certain ones out of my life, it has improved tremendously.

Thank you guys for your comments!! I’ve been enjoying reading them, and also they are helping me to gauge whether my story/meaning is coming out right. And also yeah, I agree, sometimes you just have to shut problematic people out of your lives if all they are doing is creating unnecessary drama and contributing to your health problems.

I *love* that word. It came up in an unabridged version of “fictionary” that I played as a teenager. When I got to college, my friends and I decided to make a polyphonic sound-painting/rap out of it.
1: “Humu humu nuku nuku apu a’a Humu humu nuku nuku apu a’a”
2: “Humu nuku humu nuku humu nuku humu nuku humu nuku apu a’a”
3: “Apu a’a apu a’a apu a’a Apu a’a apu a’a apu a’a”
(etc.)
Does this relate to Georgia, Jun, Gran, auntie, …? Or do you just like the word too?
Hehehe…It’s just a fun word and I was reminded of it because we were eating fish the other day and my parents started talking about their days in Hawaii and the fish you can get there and any time you start discussing fish and Hawaii, humuhumunukunukuapua’a is always mentioned lol.
I think the word your looking for is “thought” not “though”.
Typo fixed.
