Fine Sometimes Rain Chapter 04 – P00 – Cover
New chapter start!! I know I keep saying this but I’m really excited to be starting a new chapter. The archive continues to grow and hopefully readership will too! It’s been almost a year now since the launch of the comic. The true launch of the comic was on April 7th, but the cover was posted on March 11th, either way we’ve almost come to the year point and to be starting a new chapter and having three so far under my belt feels pretty good. 🙂
Oh and a bit off topic… I wanted to post a reminder that I will be tabling at Tekko this year in Pittsburgh, April 17th-19th. If you are in the area please feel free to stop by! I will have the special edition first chapter prints with me AND I will be handing out free promotional bookmarks! It’s going to be fun! 😉
I’m completely in love with this cover page! The colors are so pretty. I have to say, she inherited a beautiful house, but damn… that’s a going to be A LOT of yard maintenance.
Hehe…it’s not so bad maintenance wise since hydrangea pretty much take care of themselves and once they establish a hedgerow it’s difficult for weeds to grow with them. Black Eyed Susans are also a no fuss plant once they are established, my gran actually used them to cover an entire sloping hillside that she didn’t want to mow. XD However in saying that my family has always been more of…let’s say…natural gardeners, we don’t manicure things and let the plants do what is natural for them so there is a bit of a wild flavor in our garden.
I love gardens, but I have no natural ability of keeping them… well, veggie gardens at least… they always fail on me. I have yet to establish a flower garden. One day I’ll make my backyard beautiful… maybe…
I can’t get over how beautiful this page is. It’s awesome that you know about the plants and use that knowledge to make things easier on Georgia. 83
Thanks. 🙂 Also all of these plants are things my grandmother had which I thought was appropriate for what was an elderly woman’s house. 😉
You’re welcome. That’s really cool. ^^
The colors are amazing, and also the dappled sunlight. I’m sure that was a lot of work so we should all express our appreciation!
Of course I am sorry Georgia looks so sad. I could totally see it in her shoulders, even if her mouth wasn’t turned down into a frown. I hope some of Jun’s cheer – and the kitty’s – rubs off on her soon. I think I’ll go pet my own furball now…
Also, permaculture FTW – any time you get nature on your side taking care of your garden, instead of fighting over it, you’re going to have a lot more time to enjoy.
Hehe, thanks. 🙂 I enjoy doing landscapes, but it can become tedious after a while…though that’s never stopped me from doing them.
And heck yes permaculture…I am a lazy gardener! Well except for the vegetables, my cucumbers and tomato require lots of maintenance but the reward is good food! XD Oh shoot, that reminds me I need to get out this weekend and get my cucumber seeds so I can start them early in the house.
Beautiful garden! Now I can see why you couldn’t wait to post it!
Thanks! I am always excited about color pages because I love color, but it always takes me so long to do. XP
