Yay, she’s finally here! Today I made sure to be awake for the postman, and then much to my dismay, she was not delivered! So I carted off to the post office with my pick-up ticket from yesterday, and thankfully she was there. 😀 I didn’t have much time to take pics since I had to run off and get my hair cut, but I did manage to snap off a few box opening pics.
Here’s the unopened box from Junkyspot. It definitely stood out at the post office with all of the stickers on it. XD Anyhow the box didn’t stay that way for long though…..
Here’s everything out of the box. He put in a lot of random freebies too, so I now own a pink mario party turtle keychain, some hello kitty cake decoration faces (I think I might make cupcakes with pink frosting for valentines and use them), a Hikaru Utada CD, and this really nice little fold out wall calendar from Glib featuring a lot of great Apple doll eye candy. I am really warming up to those Apple dolls actually, I may have to get one in the future!
So, on with the doll. Brownie’s little suitcase came inside a protective plastic sleeve, which is nice since it can help protect the leather of the case.
And here is the little suitcase! Just the little case alone is pretty darned cute. XD
Open it up and inside was the tiniest resin doll I have ever seen. You know what’s funny is that I knew the doll was going to be small. I knew the height measurements, and I saw comparison photos, but having never owning a BJD smaller than an MSD sized doll, this doll for me was shockingly small.It was even smaller than I had imagined it would be. She is adorable beyond all belief of course, but so very tiny that I wonder how I will ever be able to sew for her!
And here she is in my hand. Even though I have small hands (I only wear a size 5 ring), she makes my hands look like big old bear paws or something! Anyway I absolutely love her gentle smiling face, and even though I realize the round eyed Momo is probably a lot more popular, Haha’s face to me is the best. I was also glad to find that she came with dark eyes. I bought an additional pair of dark blue eyes just in case, but I am really liking the dark grey eyes she came with. The wig however, bleh, I am so not a blonde doll wig person, so I will be ordering her a new wig or two right away. Leeke has some nice size three wigs I’ve been drooling over, and also I was considering commissioning a fur wig as well.
OK, so lastly I thought I would post a pic of what the Brownie’s “eyemech” looks like inside her head. It was something I was really curious about, but you never see photos of the inside of their heads like this. I’ll probably also post this on flickr too for a resource. I didn’t really mess around with it much though, as her eyes were perfectly set when I got her….as it is now I think I may have one out of whack just a scootch. Anyhow now you can see the mech, and yeah you’ll need to buy eyes with stems in order to fully take advantage of it.
Well now It’s time to get more work done on her house! I have her safetly tucked away back in her box while the dust flies, but I can’t help peeking at that little face again from time to time. XD
Congrats! She is way way too adorable! Having two Nenes myself (same as Momo, but human – not elf – ears), I am not disagreeing with your opinion; your girls is probably the prettiest mold. Check out nubanded and MonstroDesigns on Etsy for outfits, and even fur wigs (M) and shoes (n). Especially nubanded masters the art of sewing for the tiniest dolls with perfection, and if you are talented enough to sew yourself, her items will serve as pointers and inspiration.

Thanks! 🙂 Yeah, I’ve been scouring the web looking through scores of wigs and outfits, mostly being wishy-washy about what I want. Last night however I requested a commission from Monstrodesigns on DoA. If it’s accepted I’ll be getting one basic fur wig in auburn and another the rock bangs style in dark brown.
Haha, yeah it’s me….I go by Tsukiyono on most forums. I kinda put 2&2 together there because your flickr is one of the dolly related photostreams I follow. So, thanks again for all of your advice on tinies!
Looking forward to seeing the new wigs! Oh, and let me know if you’re selling the default wig – it’s just perfect for the look I am after for one of my tinies.
I think, until I get the new wigs, I’d like to hang onto it so I don’t have a baldy, but once I have some wigs that fit her I don’t think I’d have any problem selling it. I hope that doesn’t sound too weird, lol. ^^;
