Fine Sometimes Rain Chapter 09 – P33

And now you know a little bit more about Jun. Also trufax, this is the reason my brother dropped veterinary medicine. He is now working as an accountant though and seems to be happy so that’s all that matters.
Also side note, I forgot to update the video link from the other day, so here’s the link to the tone video I promised. Enjoy! https://youtu.be/IHC4qEFrVrU
I didn’t want to be a vet growing up, but I have since considered going into that field (or becoming a vet tech) a few times – at least in part because my experience with a large number of cats (caregiver for a cat colony) has given me some skills that I would not have anticipated gaining . . . and I love and want to help animals. But there is no way I could put someone’s pet to sleep, even if I knew it was really the best choice for them – I would be bawling so much that I would end up hurting instead of helping, and I don’t want to put myself (or other people’s beloved furbabies) in that position.
Sooo yeah, I can definitely see where Jun is coming from – good for him for being brave and taking the path that was better for him, even in the face of parental opposition. 🙂
Yeah I definitely have to give kudos to our vet and other vets/techs out there for the tough jobs they have to do.
oooh finally, I’ve been hoping to learn some more about him!
also just being a terrible nitpicky person, you have a typo in veterinary medicine (says vetrinary) 😡 sorry!
Yes, it’s an error, but it is such a common mispronunciation that it could be taken as intentional. Jun could simply be one of the many who say it that way.
We definitely say it that way in my neck of the woods. 😉
aaaah that wasn’t meant to be an angry face!! I typed : x which I use as like a cross over mouth thing like a “sorry if I shouldn’t say this” thing 🙁 sorry!!!!
Haha oh man, it’s ok, I did the same thing once but I had the ability to edit it….but yeah if you want to do the closed mouth oops thing you have to put a space between them : x And it’s totally ok to catch typos. Actually a friend of mine caught it before you did so I am aware and I will correct it here shortly. ^w^;;
Reminds me of a story about a doctor who studied medicine because anatomy and physiology fascinated him. But after becoming a doctor, he was depressed about having to deal with bodies that were less than optimal.
That is really….interesting… XD
I respect Jun for that, though I reckon that makes him exactly the sort of person who’d make a good vet… coincidentally, my cat was very ill last week, and the after-hours vet he dfirrst went to was saying he oughta be put down… but thanks to the perseverance and care of our proper vet, he’s back to his old self and might live a few more years if we’re careful. 🙂
A good vet cares for pets just as if they were family. 🙂
Sorry to hear your cat was having some health troubles, but I’m glad to hear he’s doing better. 🙂
That was my reason for not going down the Veterinary path, too. I had a bad experience with vets doing an ‘explorative’ operation on my cat after a car accident, which led to him being put down, so I didn’t feel like I could ever go into that profession.
Oof, poor Jun. I definitely can’t see myself in any type of medical field-for people or animals. It’s like I can feel their pain. >~<
