My experience with making pickles is that it takes days to process. Now if she makes a dish using pickles, great! I like them too.
You can make a cucumber “salad” that is basically unprocessed sweet and sour pickles – it’s ready to eat in an hour, so that’s what I thought they were talking about. A dish using pickles would be good too, though; I’ve yet to meet a pickle I don’t like! 🙂

I was thinking of fresh pickles…and probably a specific Japanese style recipe that I normally make after lunch and then eat for dinner. It involves soy sauce, fresh grated ginger, rice vinegar a bit of sugar and parsley. But yeah most pickles take longer. 🙂

Well, if you get the chance, I would love to see your recipe – we eat these kind of cucumber quick pickles/salads all summer long, and recipe variations are always good! 🙂
