Dolly Dolly Volume 16

I ordered a copy of Dolly Dolly Vol. 16 from Bk1 tonight. I had been interested in the book ever since I knew it had a wealth of MSD sized patterns in it. Bk1 says it will be 1-3 days before it ships, but now right after I ordered it, the site says 7-21 days! I sincerely hope that for me it’s the 1-3 days, and it’s just in a warehouse somewhere. I’ve ordered from Bk1 before though and they’ve never done me wrong, so I will remain hopeful that I will have my book sometime by the end of next week. Anyway if you can read Japanese and have been searching for this book, you can still order it through Bk1 here:

Skinny MSD Panty Pattern & Tut

Ok, so this pattern and tutorial is for making panties for a skinny MSD. The doll I was working with is my AE Yara, and in comparing her measurements with Unoa, it looks like this panty pattern should also work for Unoa and the 43cm Narae. Anyway before I get on with the tutorial, all I ask is that you don’t post my pattern elsewhere or use it for monetary gain.

With that out of the way, we are ready to begin! Now I’m going to put the rest of this tut behind a cut since it’s very image heavy, but you’ll need the pattern first, so here is a link to grab it:

Now once you get this pattern, print it out at 100%. If it prints out anything other than 100% the sizes will be off, so be sure to check your scale when you print. To double check that it printed the right size, I marked along the side where each inch would fall, so compare that with your ruler. If it doesn’t match up to your ruler, it’s been printed wrong.

AE Yara Arrived!

It wasn’t but maybe 15-30 minutes after I made my post about waiting that my Asleep Eidolon Yara doll arrived! So I was able to snap pics of taking her out of the box and getting her dressed and stuff before dinner, which was good times. Anyway I have a ton of photos to share, but to share them all would make everything super image heavy, so I shall put them all behind a cut!

Still Waiting

I’m still waiting for my new doll. I think the Fedex package tracking system is both a blessing and a curse at the same time. I’ve known since I woke up this morning that my doll was loaded onto a delivery truck at 6:27am. It is now 2:27 in the afternoon! How weird that the minutes on both of those times are the same….creepy really. Anyway I would have expected her to be here sooner, but at this rate it looks like it will be close to 4-5pm until she arrives, as I’ve noticed from ordering things in the past that if the Fedex truck isn’t around the ‘hood before noon, then it isn’t going to be around until close to dinner time. :p

Strangely enough, I don’t remember being this obsessed about the arrival of my first doll. Maybe it was because I was busy with work so time passed faster, and maybe I didn’t torture myself with looking over “arrival threads” and other such nonsense in the interim. Or possibly it could even be that now that I know more about BJDs in general it is much more exciting. Whatever it is though, it is torture!
